Kalin Center Steak & Stomp needs desserts
Sheran Casey is in charge of desserts again this year for the annual Steak and Stomp Kalin’s Center Fundraiser. For those who don’t know, on the second Saturday in April Trinity County residents come together and generously give from the heart to the Kalin Center who according to the Kalin’s Center website…
…” is a non-profit organization that started in 2001. At the Kalin’s Center we provide a safe and child-friendly environment for abused children to tell their story.
We provide services to child victims up to the age of eighteen years for: sexual, emotional, and physical abuse as well as child neglect and child witnesses of crimes and their non-offending family members.”
Casey posted on her Facebook group this morning:
“Okay folks! It’s that time again. I need desserts for the Steak and Stomp Kalin’s Center Fundraiser for 2nd Saturday in April. We are asking this year that you not bring them in disposable aluminum pans. Let’s make them beautiful. Who is willing to help me out? “
The Kalin’s Center Steak & Stomp is one of the largest and most supported events in Trinity County. Each year Trinity County raises tens of thousands of dollars from the Silent Auction, the regular auction, the dessert auction, tickets sales, etc. This year you can be part of this amazing event and be part of the solution.
Sheran Casey is asking for volunteers to bake for the dessert auction. She can be reached through the Facebook group: WHAT’S HAPPENING in and around Trinity County or at Mickey’s House (936) 594-0112.
