Meet & Greet – Groveton

Nearly 100 people braved the cold weather Thursday night to attend our first Trinity County Meet & Greet at the Groveton Courthouse. Hot soup, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks were provided by the Trinity County Republican Board and the Trinity County Republican Women.

Each candidate was allowed to speak to the audience for a few minutes on their vision for the future of their office if elected. Although there are some hotly contested races this year, it appears that we have excellent choices and difficult decisions ahead.

Dr. Sharon Schuetz has a Ph.D. in clinical Christian counseling and has counseled hundreds of families over the past 30 years. Since 2013 she has worked in her local county, Trinity, Texas in the Republican Party, Republican Women, the Trinity County Patriots, and is the former editor of the local newspaper, The Trinity Standard. She serves as Secretary of the Trinity County Republican Party. Sharon pastors the Sebastopol Community Church in Trinity and she and her late husband, Michael, have three children and ten grandchildren.
