Ventura’s Cookies with Santa

We had no idea when we were asked to help serve at the Ventura EMS Cookies with Santa event that we would enjoy it so much that we would look so forward to next year to do it again. Kids came from everywhere to compete in the coloring contest, throw rings, get their faces painted, and sit in Santa’s lap. Ventura spared no expense from hot dogs, candy, chips, hot chocolate, cookies, and bags and bags of candy. Twelve boys and girls went home very, very happy with their bright, shiny new bicycles. Ten won them for the beautiful pictures they colored, and two had their names drawn. Overall, it was an amazing day, and we here at The Trinity County News want to thank the folks at Ventura EMS for showing all us kids a great time.
